Rashid Rana transforms Pakistan Pavilion for EXPO 2020 Dubai

Rashid Rana has transformed the Pakistan Pavilion at EXPO 2020 Dubai into one of the largest works of its kind. The artistic intervention, titled Unity of All that Appears, comprises twenty-four thousand seemingly identical yet in fact unique pieces, fractionally different from each other in size and colour.

For Rana, the work draws inspiration from the diversity of Pakistan: “It takes after the seasonal transitions in Pakistan and diversity it has to offer — geographically, climatically, culturally, ethnically and racially.”
