Announcing our autumn programme in New York and London

4 September 2020

Lisson Gallery is pleased to announce details of its autumn programme in London and New York. Opening on 10 September, our New York spaces reopen with solo exhibitions by Ryan Gander and Carmen Herrera. Herrera's 'Painting in Process' at 504 West 24th Street presents pairings of works on paper and paintings that examine the artist's process, seeing the translation of primary painted sketches into the final, often strikingly different, acrylic on canvas works. Ryan Gander's 'These are the markers of our time' is the first exhibition to be held in Lisson's newly completed 508 West 24th Street space, and highlights time as the new currency, reflecting on how – in an age of identity politics, selfie culture and an incessant need to shout the loudest – the focus of our time should be on the value of time itself.

In London, exhibitions by Mary Corse and Laure Prouvost will open across both spaces on 6 October. For Laure Prouvost's first exhibition with Lisson in London, Lisson Gallery has lent its space to the 'Re dit en un in learn center'. 'Mary Corse: Variations' presents all new work for Corse's second show in London at Lisson Gallery, serving as a timely reflection on our current period in history and a marker of Corse’s practice to date, with these new works directly referencing different series developed throughout her career.
