101-year-old artist Carmen Herrera seeks order in her work - CBS News

31 December 2016

Carmen Herrera's art career began in the 1940s. Since then, the Cuban native has worked in Paris and New York, largely unnoticed. At 101 years old, Herrera is receiving recognition many believe is long overdue -- a solo exhibit at New York's Whitney Museum of American Art.

The exhibition 'Carmen Herrera: Lines of Sight' features more than fifty works, including paintings, three-dimensional works and works on paper. Vladimir Duthiers reports for CBS News and is joined by Edward Sullivan, Tony Bechara and Curator Dana Miller.
