Ryan Gander's 'The Find' at Manchester International Festival 2023

At this year’s Manchester International Festival, Ryan Gander’s The Find takes us on a quest across the city in search of his latest works.

Hundreds of thousands of coins will be hiding in plain sight across Manchester city centre throughout MIF23 (29 June – 16 July), though using a different kind of currency. There are three designs to collect, each embellished with nuggets of wisdom to guide you and even help you make big, small or medium-sized decisions.

With The Find, Ryan Gander injects mystery into our everyday encounters, encouraging us to see the world around us differently.
