Marina Abramović's The Hero 25FPS NFT launches 25 July

The public mint for Marina Abramović’s first NFT, The Hero 25FPS, goes live at 2pm UCT today.

For her first performance in the Web3 space, Abramović revisits one of her most personal and autobiographical works titled The Hero (2001). Filmed at 25 Frances per second, never before seen footage has been separated into thousands of unique frames, each one dramatically influenced by the changing wind to create The Hero 25FPS.

The Hero is also being presented by CIRCA on London’s Piccadilly Lights and on screens around the world throughout the summer, with daily screenings at 20:22.
