Laure Prouvost's immersive installation Deep Travel Ink. presented at Atelier Hermès, Seoul

2 March 2022

From 17 March, the Atelier Hermès exhibition hall in Seoul's Gangnam district will present Uncle's Travel Agency Franchise, Deep Travel Ink. by Laure Prouvost. Taking form as a functioning travel agency replete with watercoolers, plants and posters, as well as a waiting area and corporate infomercial, the installation conflates both time and space, adding to the quasi-authenticity of the scene, which is a frequent trope in Prouvost's practice.

The installation has previously been shown at MMK Frankfurt (2016), Lisson Gallery in New York (2018), and in the Meridians sector at Art Basel Miami Beach (2019). In this iteration, Prouvost's 2014 film work How To Make Money Religiously will also be screening in a dark adjoining space.

The presentation will be on view from 25 March to 5 June 2022.
