Leiko Ikemura, born in Japan and living in Berlin for a long time, has always pushed boundaries and tried new things in her work. In this interview, she describes how small mistakes can lead to the most beautiful discoveries.

The building rises like a mirage in the heart of Berlin's Kreuzberg district. Framed by dilapidated, graffiti-covered facades, it stands there like a foreign object. At the same time, it tries with the utmost discretion to keep a low profile. Only the unevenly sized and somewhat disorderly window openings are noticeable, as is the small entrance with a wooden grate.
