Join Frieze Academy for an evening of conversation with award-winning filmmaker John Akomfrah. Following his recent, critically acclaimed exhibitions at Lisson Gallery in London and the Arnolfini in Bristol, Akomfrah will discuss his new film trilogy (The Airport
, Auto de Fé
, all 2016) and his three-screen video installation Vertigo Sea
, which premiered at the Venice Biennale in 2015.
John Akomfrah is an artist, filmmaker and a founding member of the influential Black Audio Film Collective. His works often explore the experience of the African diaspora in Europe and the UK.
