Cory Arcangel participates in Kappa FuturFestival 2026

Cory Arcangel unveiled a new site-specific installation at Kappa FuturFestival in Turin, Italy, one of Europe's leading electronic music festivals. Presented in collaboration with curator Ana Cristina and Movement Entertainment, the project introduces fulgura frango (2026), a custom-cast bronze bell installed on the festival's Lab Stage, its more experimental space situated beside the DJ decks.

Conceived specifically for the festival, the work explores the relationship between sculpture and sound. Reflecting on the project, Arcangel remarked: "Originally we kept asking ourselves, what kind of sculpture belongs at a techno festival? I've been working a lot with bells lately, and it occurred to us that a bell is as loud as a sound system. It can actually compete with the music."

The work forms part of a broader programme of artistic interventions integrated throughout the festival, bringing contemporary art into dialogue with music, technology and large-scale public experience. Arcangel's contribution continues his longstanding engagement with digital culture, media systems and the intersections between art and popular culture.
