First Weekend: Artists' Film in Fractured Times

The first in a new strand of monthly events, called First Weekends, taking place at the London gallery on 1 February 2014, featured a panel discussion on the subject of: “Politics, People and the Past: Artists’ Film in Fractured Times”. Featuring the two artists exhibting concurrently at Lisson Gallery, Christian Jankowski and Wael Shawky and chaired by Ossian Ward, the session covered the similarities and differences between their approaches as artists and their latest shows Heavy Weight History and Dictums, respectively.
