'Sean Scully: Géographies' at Passerelle, Centre d'art contemporain, Brest, France

From 20 October 2023 to 13 January 2024, Passerelle, Centre d'art contemporain in Brest opens Sean Scully's first retrospective exhibition in Brittany, 'Géographies'.

The exhibition approaches Scully's vast œuvre through a unique consideration of place and the affections the artist has developed for particular locations. Bringing together paintings from several series, including the Doric and Ghost series, the exhibition reveals how human experience is at the heart of his emblematic constructions of grids and bands of colour.

On the occasion of the opening, Sean Scully will be in conversation at the CAC Passerelle at 5pm on Friday 20 October. The event is free with limited seating.
