Lisson Gallery

First Weekend: A Walk as a Work

1 August 2014

As part of Lisson Gallery's First Weekend events, on Saturday 5 July 2014, Head of Content Ossian Ward spoke with Katharine Stout, Head of Programmes at the ICA, about Richard Long's first solo exhibition with Lisson Gallery in over three decades, including new work made directly in the gallery, as well as other recent pieces made on walks in England, Switzerland and Antarctica. Having began his career with the gallery in the 1970s, Long comes full circle while continuing to investigate many of the themes that concerned him then – from the real and conceptual routes he traverses, to the existential notion of the solitary exploration of nature.

The exhibition continues through 12 July 2014. To read more click here.
