Description

The accompanying publication to Deacon's work UW84DC which he created for the Dundee Contemporary Arts larger gallery. UW84DC was created from strips of untreated ash that have been steam bent and then screwed together to produce an extended field or 'sea' of twisting and turning forms. In the smaller gallery lies a single ceramic ceramic piece glazed a luscious red. The book is a collaboration between Richard Deacon and his assistants Matthew Perry and Martin Sherman explaining the process of creating the above works and also includes an essay by Vikki Bell.
